Oliver Withycombe (Ollie)
JOINER / BUSINESS PARTNER
Ollie started his career as a Joiner at St Austell College, where he completed his Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery, before undertaking his Level 3 Qualification in Joinery as part of an apprenticeship.
Ollie went self-employed in early 2022, setting up Old Willow Joinery, and with ten years in the industry under his work belt, the projects are getting bigger. So much so, that in Summer 2025, we made our move from a little workshop by the house to a unit in the St Austell Bay Business Park.
When he’s not in the workshop, Ollie enjoys mountain biking or walking with Abbie, Edith and their new addition.
The Wood Wizard should be his name. Ollie works to an unprecedented standard. He’s incredibly methodical in everything he does. We were astounded by the finish of the stair handrail and spindles he created for us! I can’t recommend this enough. Ollie embodies everything you could want from a quality joiner. He’s such a great guy and guides you through your journey to achieve your goals. You wouldn’t know he’s been there because he works to such a high level of cleanliness. It’s rare to find someone who listens attentively to your vision like Ollie in today’s world.

Abbie Withycombe
ADMINISTRATOR / BUSINESS PARTNER
Abbie brought the Old Willow Joinery domain to life, as well as the socials over on Facebook and Instagram, and helps to try to keep the admin under control!
When out of office, Abbie is most likely to be with her micro-flock of sheep, spinning their wool or showing this gentle giant when she can!
Ollie and Abbie are both very passionate about traditional craft and workmanship.
Edith 🐾
BRANCH MANAGER
Starting out as the Apprentice Floor Sweeper, clearing only a semi-circle at a time, Edith has earned herself the title Branch Manager – a role that she takes very seriously!
Edith has been on a few site visits with Ollie which she rather enjoys, and is quite often requested back!
